Our Founder

Paul Grant Barber, our foundation's namesake, was an inspirational leader and life long advocate of charitable giving. He personally donated to a number of causes over many decades and viewed helping others as a moral duty.

 

Paul spearheaded Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Prophix, the company he founded, when it was almost unheard of. Since its inception in 1987, Paul championed the spirit of giving by organizing a large yearly donation of toys and turkeys to the Salvation Army. This tradition continued nearly 30 years later, touching the lives of hundreds of Canadians.

Further to his philanthropic efforts at Prophix, Paul looked to improve the livelihood of those around him by enabling them to reach their potential. He was a true believer in helping people achieve greatness by providing them with new opportunities and challenging them to improve themselves despite adversity.

 

While he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on through Paul Barber Foundation.
